Hey fellow whiskey drinkers, I just found out that Feisty Spirits (Ft. Collins, CO) opened up pre-sales for their second "barrel series" release that comes out December 15th for the holidays. They're calling it Winter Whiskey 2017 and the website says it's a red corn, oats, and malt whiskey aged almost 3 years in a 23 gallon barrel. They're also being sold in one-liter oak casks with beeswax inner coating which eliminates evaporation and further aging, which is really cool. There are only 50 available and I'm definitely going to pick one up, so I thought I would share...happy holidays! Here is the link: http://www.feistyspirits.com/barrelseries
@JRH I once made a test with a two-liter barrel and the taste changed fast due to the extreme inner surface to volume ratio. This is a nice gift but I do not think, that it helps the taste of the whiskey.
