I've managed to get my hands on two bottles of Glengoyne 30 - 2017 release, with only 6000 bottles worldwide. My challenge is whether to keep them for investment purposes (paid $800 USD for one and $675 USD for other), or just find some exquisite occasion to open and enjoy. I opened a Glengoyne 25 this past weekend with son in law, and compared to 10 and 21. The 25 was magnificent, so I can only imagine what the 30 will be like. To the Forum - Invest or Drink? Thank you in advance.
@dennislhopkins Have you tried 18yo? What ur opinion about? Thx
@Snelius I have not tried 18 y/o Glengoyne. I am unable to get it from the sources I use. I hear it's very good, like REALLY good! I've had 10, 21, 25, and Cask Strength. All delicious. My son in law and I did a tasting this past weekend with 10, 21, and newly opened 25. All delightful, but that 25 is to DIE for!!
@dennislhopkins The 18 yo has been on and off in stores. I bought a small bottle of it, 20 cl when I visited London last year and it is quite good.
@bedlamborn All Glengoynes are very good.Would love to try 25 and 30 but too expensive.21 is great, sometimes it is only £94 on Amazon.18 varies quite a lot and 15 and 12 very reliable.A couple of their Cask Strengths were good too.Would love to visit the distillery, its a great tour i've heard!
