I was thinking to ask this question for the live stream but I had other commitments so I could not watch it live.
So many distilleries use different kind of barrels for finishing. My first question is the following.
Is it first fill barrels only used for finishing or also second fill barrels?
That leads into my second question.
Many finishings are just for a short period like six months so I guess that the barrels can be used again for another finishing. Is this true that a barrel can be used for several finishing?
That leads into my third question.
After being used for finishing what are the barrels used for? Sold? Scrapped or used as a a normal barrels for the distillery?
I have been trying to find out information about this online but I have not found so much.

Your questions are well chosen. I will include them in the upcoming FAQ video. It will take roughly a week.

Thanks, will be interesting. As finishes can be used to enchance an already good whisky such as Talisker or Lagavulin (Distillers edition) or to hide a bad batch, no names mentioned.
