Glendronach 30 and 40 Year Old - two single malts with longterm sherry cask maturations
These single malt whiskies from the Highlands play in the distillery's ultra-premium league

Brown-Forman presents two exceptional single malts: The Glendronach 30 Year Old and The Glendronach 40 Year Old, both currently available in the online shop of Whisky.de, extend the ultra-premium range of the distillery in the Valley of Forgue in the Scottish Highlands. Both whiskies gained impressive complexity and depth during their decades of maturation in sherry casks.
"With the 30-Year-Old, we have composed a symphony from our most historic sherry cask styles. Three decades of maturation have resulted in a sublime and charming Single Malt, with generous layers of rich and complex character,” said Dr Rachel Barrie, Master Blender at Glendronach. “At forty years old, it represents four decades of sherry cask refinement, polished by time to become the ultimate expression of The GlenDronach. It is a privilege to be the custodian of such remarkable casks.”
The Glendronach 30 Year Old
The Glendronach 30 Year Old was not only matured in high-quality Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, Dr Rachel Barrie also used whisky from much rarer Amontillado casks in its composition. The press release speaks of a symphony of flavour. As a tribute to the three decades of maturation, 30 facets engraved into the stained walnut curl veneer adorn the packaging.
