Hello.everyone,
First off, not a whiskey drinker. However, I'm curious if anyone could give me any info on a bottle of scotch I ran across in my house. (Here in Japan) It's a highland park 25 year abv 51.5% and its in a round black wood presentation box. im not looking to sell or anything like that, but just curious if this is a good scotch or not. I found only a couple other just like it that were sold in the past online. The last being sold in Jan 2016 for 67,000 yen about 618 dollars. Is this something that would be good to hold on to? Running across this bottle and reading a couple of scotch websites has peaked my interest in scotch. I was always a gin drinker when I was younger. Maybe finding this is a sign.
Thank you,
J
Hello,
if you like to get into the collection business then you should first read this:
https://www.whisky.com/information/knowledge/collectors/do-you-collect-malt-whisky.html
But it sounds like a good whisky for colleting. Do you have a picture?
Thank you for the reply and link. I'm going to read it as soon as I can. I will take some pictures and post them sometime tomorrow. The label on the back is in Japanese. I'm sure it was purchased here in Osaka.
Thank you again for your help.
How do we post pics here? Can I upload?
Thank you
J
