Glencairn glass

I shall stick to Glencairns or a Dalmore copita for whiskies, and keep the Glenrothes "bowl" for drinking rum with ice ;-)

@hwchoy The Copita is a great glass. Love the stem on the glass. It prevents you from warming the whisky with your hands. You can also hold the stem and "roll" the glass with your fingers. I prefer this to "swirling" the whisky around in the glas. I think it displays the bouquet better. Also its great for accessing color.

I agree, have been trying to get the Dalmore copita with the "royal stag". the glencairn stem is very short and your hand obstructs a proper appreciation of the colour.

This is the glass I have been using for the last couple of weeks (beside a Glencairn for comparison). It is a Schott Zwiesel Top Ten Barrel Aged Spirits Glass, which is essentially just a larger Glencairn with a stem. It is no longer produced, but I quite like it.

@Carlton I have tried the glass to the left as well, a great glass in my opinion. Tried it yesterday, something similar at least. Displays the bouquet nicely.

I believe your photo is the Luigi Bormioli Vinoteque Spirits Snifter. I have some of those - they are a good glass at a decent price.
