Problem inserting url into a message

I am unable to insert a URL into a message. I click on the Link icon on the new message screen and paste the URL when prompted, but nothing appears in my message when I click on Send or Preview.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My try: www.Whisky.com

You have to add the protokoll 'http://' in front of the www

You can either highlight a text/word, click the Link icon and insert the URL:
Wikipedia
or you just write the Link, it will become clickable automatically:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hauptseite

For some reason https doesn't work, then just erase the "s".

Thanks gentlemen. I was cutting and pasting the link preceded by "https:" It works correctly when I use "http:"
